Operation give life is honored to present the 5th annual “Strings for Dreams” charity event which aids in finding a cure for all childhood cancers. With the support of our community, family, and friends we have donated $19,682.92 to St. Judes Children’s Hospital, we are honored to be allowed to make these donations on behalf of you. Operation Give Life donates one hundred percent of the proceeds from “Strings for Dreams” to this cause. In the past 50 years the cancer survival rate has gone from 20% to more then 80% based on the treatments invented at St. Judes Children’s Hospital. No family ever receives a bill, which allows their main focus to be very present for their child. For a $25.00 dollar donation you will gain access to a stellar party that will consists of an open buffet, drink specials, and raffle prizes all while listening to today’s hottest acoustic performances. This year “Strings for Dreams” will be held at The Shamrock Pub and Grill located at 210 Meadow Street in Waterbury, CT 06702 on Saturday October 13th, 2018 from 1p.m until 5 p.m.. Every year we have seen some amazing acoustic performances and this year will be no different. Taking to the stage will be Emma Casagrande, Emma Shaffer, Kyleen Elyse, and Baily Jeffko. We cannot thank them enough for donated their time and energy. This is a family friendly event so all are welcome and encouraging to come. I received the check from you and your organization in the amount of 500.00 and I am thrilled, overwhelmed and grateful!!!! It is with joyful heart that I will send Jefferson Radiology the check to offset the bill I received. I feel incredibly blessed and indebted to you and your organization for helping me.  As you may know I am a food server/bartender in the hospitality industry and had to take 2 weeks off after my breast lumpectomy due to the removal of 4 lymph nodes. When I can’t work I don’t get paid and your check was a total Godsend!!!! I have appointments tomorrow with both my radiologist and oncologist and am praying that I will only need 6 weeks of radiation to say goodbye to cancer, but I will find out tomorrow. Throughout this journey with cancer I have embraced the goodness of my family, friends, coworkers and regulars in the restaurants I work. I found a quote that embodies how I feel: “It is impossible to feel depressed and gratitude in the same moment.” I have had an abundance of gratitude, each step of this and you and your organization are definitely giving me joy in the goodness of humanity!!!! Hello everyone, we hope the summer has been treating you kind! We finally have the official word of our second annual, ‘Strings For Dreams’ event. It will be held at Roma Sports Bar & Grill in New Britain, CT on Sunday, August 16th, 2015. We will have LIVE acoustic music from the likes of local artists Kelsey Kaplan, Eric Landry & Thomas Parkes. This benefit to improve the lives of children battling with childhood cancer is just a mere $25.00 donation, and we will also be holding a raffle and providing food and drink specials in return your for your generosity. Our first annual ‘Strings For Dreams’ event was a huge success, and we are hoping that you all can make it out to this one and make it just as special! We will have a link to our event page where you can make an online donation coming soon, or you may make your donation at the door the day of the event.

Welcome to a brand new year! All of us at Operation Give Life hope you all had a safe and eventful holiday! It’s time for us to get back to work and we are kicking off the new year with a HUGE event! We have paired up with Train For Life in Massachusets to host the first annual Glow In The Dark Boot Camp! This event takes place on Friday, January 30th, 2015 – and all of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Operation Give Life to help us continue our fight against cancer! The event will also feature music provided by OGL’s own, Randy Boyer!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! This year OGL reached a milestone by raising the most money ever! Over $2000 ($2,030 to be exact!) was raised this year and i can’t thank you all enough. There was massive support at the event and also all over the world. It really touches my heart to see how many people still make an effort to donate in times like these. It was truly a great time had by all and for such a great cause! BIG thanks to Aaron @ Shish Lounge, Elyse Lavin & Sam Scroxton for all the help in organizing and marketing. Some exciting news. This year has been a break through year for OGL. Its heading into the 3 year and we have all ready raised over $4000 for cancer research. Mikey McNulty is the creator of the Vivid Fine Art Collection.  Vivid is a truly unique & exclusive style of photography, created by using a technique called “shutter drag”, which is commonly found in McNulty’s nightlife photography.   Every Vivid piece is created strictly and exclusively in-camera with the movement of the camera and the variety of light sources in the frame – no image editing program manipulation.  This makes each photograph entirely unique and 100% unrepeatable.

Operation Give Life (OGL) was started in 2008 by Randy Boyer in an effort to raise money for cancer research. Every day over 1,500 people in the United States lose their battle against cancer. The goal of OGL is for DJs and music lovers from all over the world to join the worldwide fight against cancer for one night of extraordinary entertainment.  OGL 2009 took place on July 18 with DJs Randy Boyer & Tritonal.  The event has raised close to $1,000 dollars and fundraising will continue until July 31st.

Money raised from OGL will go to support the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC). The PMC raises money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA, through an annual bike-a-thon that crosses the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. 100% of the money raised through ticket sales and donations from OGL will go to support the PMC and more importantly, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, one of the leading centers for cancer research, treatment and patient care.
